Pistol Rifle and Archery Club

A family sport

Pistol and rifle shooting is a family sport for men and women, for those with disabilities and for all ages from 10 years old to 100+ years old. It offers opportunities to relax, to forget for a while the stresses of the day, to learn to concentrate, to become disciplined and to handle firearms safely and confidently. If you wish, it can also provide opportunity to strive for excellence in a demanding sport, leading to state, national and international competition.

Penfield welcomes individuals and families into a sociable, safe club where coaching and instruction are available for both the competitive and the non-competitive shooter. Nationally accredited coaches, referees and range officers ensure that quality instruction and safety are the highest priorities.

We have comfortable club rooms where we meet and talk before and after shooting and the well-equipped kitchen is fully used on club nights and for regular social events.

There is a programme of matches, social events and training sessions throughout the year, giving a wide range of types of shooting. The club has members that shoot competitively, socially and for recreation. We hold inter-club events as well as championships within the club.

No centre-fire rifle or shotgun matches are shot at this club.

The Penfield Pistol, Rifle & Archery club has been in operation since 1954. The club is affiliated with South Australia Revolver and Pistol Association (SARPA) and Pistol Australia.
